Elshad Guliyev, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national minifootball team, evaluated the test match (1:1) against Montenegro held the previous day.
The expert stated in his statement to "Report" that the result was not important.
"The game against Montenegro was not bad. But the score is not important to us. Because we are working on new tactics. We are trying to devote more time to the children who are left out so that we can learn about their situation. We are looking at whether it is possible for them to help the national team in the world championship. We have games ahead, we will give every football player a chance," said E. Guliyev.
He stated that they are trying to form the main squad for the World Championship to be held in Baku:
"We will participate in two tournaments. We will play approximately 8-9 matches until May 2. We are in Montenegro for this purpose. We are trying to form the main squad. We came here with 21 football players. We are testing more new players."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will compete in Group A of the World Championship with Slovenia, Mauritania and Bahrain. The World Cup, which will be attended by 32 teams, will be held from May 21 to June 1 at the National Gymnastics Arena.
