A first aid training was held on the second day of the professional development program organized by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation in Shaki for judo coaches of the north-western region.
Idman.biz reports that the training covered first aid methods to be provided in case of injuries that may occur during sports - especially injuries, sprains and loss of consciousness.
Coaches were also explained the rules for assessing the condition of an injured athlete and creating a safe environment until the doctor arrives. At the end of the training, coaches who successfully passed the organized exam were awarded international certificates.
The practical session of the day was devoted to "ne-waza" - ground techniques. The instructors demonstrated all the holding techniques included in "osaekomi-waza". Also, these techniques, ways to avoid them and suitable combinations were explained in accordance with the exam format of the International Judo Federation Academy.
