Faiq Hasanov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, has become a record holder in the world-famous Guinness Book of Records for the second time. Sport24.az reports that an event was held on Azerbaijan Television today on this occasion.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sheyda Subaşı, an official of "Guinness World Records", stated that the "Television Chess Club" program has been broadcast since March 27, 1969. Faiq Hasanov, the author and host of the "Television Chess Club" program, which has been on the air for 55 years and 277 days, has gone down in history as the author of the second record. The program has been recognized by the "Guinness Book of Records" as the longest-running sports program on air.
It should be noted that last month Faiq Hasanov was awarded a special diploma as the record holder for the longest-serving male chess referee.
