The second day of the professional development program organized by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF) in Sheki for coaches of the north-western region included first aid training.
"Report" informs that the training covered initial intervention methods in case of sports injuries, especially traumas, sprains and loss of consciousness.
Coaches were also explained the rules for assessing the condition of the injured athlete and creating a safe environment until the doctor arrives. At the end of the training, coaches who successfully passed the exam were awarded international certificates.
The practical session of the day was dedicated to "ne-waza" - techniques applied on the ground. Instructors demonstrated all the holding techniques included in "osaekomi-waza". Also, these techniques, ways to avoid them and appropriate combinations were explained in accordance with the exam format of the International Judo Federation Academy.
