UEFA has fined AFFA 5000 euros.
According to "Report", this was due to the late start of the match between the Azerbaijani women's national team and Lithuania in the UEFA Nations League on April 4.
The match was delayed due to head coach Siyasat Asgarov. The specialist was given a conditional suspension for 1 match and a 1-year probationary period was set.
In addition, S. Asgarov was disqualified for 1 match due to unsportsmanlike conduct. He served his sentence in the next round in the match against Montenegro.
In response to "Report"'s request from AFFA, it was stated that the UEFA representative said that both teams were late for the meeting after the match in question:
"However, nothing was said about how many minutes we were late or whether there would be a fine."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team, which defeated Lithuania with two unanswered goals, drew with Montenegro - 1:1. The team will host Lithuania in the last - IV round, on May 30.
