The Russian club "Krasnodar", with whom the Azerbaijani national beach soccer team planned to hold friendly matches this month, was unable to come to Baku due to financial problems.
This was reported to "Report" by the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Sahib Mammadov.
According to him, the Russian team could not travel to Azerbaijan due to financial problems:
"Due to financial problems, "Krasnodar" will not come to Baku. Therefore, the planned 3 friendly matches (May 12, 14, 16) will not take place."
The specialist also expressed his opinion on the preparation for the first stage of the European Championship to be held in Spain:
"We have training 5 days a week. There are no major changes in the squad. The players we took from the Regional League did not justify themselves. We will continue with the remaining players. There is little time left before the European Championship, so we will go with the previous squad."
It should be noted that the national team will compete with Lithuania, England and Belgium in Group A of the first qualifying round of the European Championship. The games of this group will be held on May 23-25 in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain.
