The main goal of the Azerbaijani national minifootball team, which is competing in the League of Nations tournament held in Montenegro, is to be fully prepared for the World Championship that will be held in Baku.
This was stated to "Report" by the team's head coach Elshad Guliyev.
He emphasized that the League of Nations is a tournament that gives rating points:
"Yesterday we played against Bosnia and Herzegovina, then against the Turkish national team. Today we will play against Montenegro, and tomorrow against Kazakhstan. The League of Nations is a tournament that gives rating points. National teams are playing. Sometimes they appear with mixed squads. We are also playing in the same way. We are not only thinking about winning. The important thing is to fully prepare the team for the World Championship in Baku. We give new players more chances. Losing or losing points is not of great importance to us".
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will compete with Slovenia, Mauritania and Bahrain in Group A of the World Championship. The mundial, in which 32 teams will participate, will be held from May 21 to June 1 at the National Gymnastics Arena.
