Son Heung-min, the leader of England's "Tottenham" club and the South Korean national team, has been blackmailed in his homeland.
"Report", citing "The Korea Times", reports that he filed an official complaint with the Seoul police, accusing a 20-year-old woman and her 40-year-old accomplice of attempted blackmail.
According to lawyers, in the summer of 2024, the woman claimed to be pregnant by the 32-year-old football player and demanded a large sum of money in exchange for silence. The total amount of claims was tens of millions of South Korean won (the equivalent of tens of thousands of dollars). However, the pregnancy information was later not confirmed, and it turned out to be planned blackmail.
Seoul police quickly detained both suspects.
It should be noted that Son Heung-min, who has been playing for "Tottenham" since 2015, has scored 11 goals in 44 games this season.
