"Sabah" has reached the final of the Azerbaijan Cup for the first time in its history.
QOL.az reports with reference to the PFL website that the team coached by Vasili Berezutski passed the "Neftchi" barrier in the semi-final – 2:1, 1:1.
"Sabah" became the 19th team to reach the final in the 33-year history of the tournament. "Qarabagh" 12, "Neftchi" 11, "Shamakhi" 6, "Khazar Lankaran" and "Gabala" 5, "Kapaz" 4, "Baku" 3, "Kur-Nur", "Shamkir", "Sumgayit" and "Zira" have successfully passed the semi-finals 2 times. "Inshaatchi" (Baku), "Shafa", "Khazri", "MKT-Araz", "Inshaatchi" (Sabirabad), "Khazar" (Lankaran) and "Karvan" achieved this once, like "Sabah".
It should be noted that the 2001/02 and 2019/20 seasons were incomplete.
