Argentina national team and Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi spoke about his future.
GOL.az reports that the 37-year-old forward did not hide his desire to participate in the 2026 World Cup:
"I am focusing my attention on the present. But if I said that I don't think about the World Cup, I would be lying. Yes, I am thinking about the World Cup. This year will be key in terms of making decisions about my future. I want to find the right pace, find consistency."
It should be noted that Messi has been playing for Inter Miami since the summer of 2023. During this time, he has played 49 matches in all tournaments, scored 42 goals and provided 21 assists. The footballer's current contract with the club is valid until the end of 2025.
Lionel won the 2022 World Cup with the Argentina national team in 2022.
