Competing at the same level with healthy people motivates Azerbaijani Paralympic champion Lamiyə Vəliyeva.
The athlete made a statement to "Report" about this.
She shared her thoughts on winning a bronze medal at the World Athletics Bronze Level "UNG Meeting" competition held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan:
"The tournament was held among healthy athletes, and winning a bronze medal in this competition was a great joy for me. The most important thing is that I was able to compete on the same level with healthy athletes. This motivates me and encourages me to work harder. It is true that I had not set the 200-meter distance as a goal for myself for two years, so it is especially joyful for me to run this distance after such a long break. I believe that I will achieve better results next time."
It should be noted that the 23-year-old athlete covered the 200-meter distance in 24.35 seconds.
