The Azerbaijan Judo Federation has launched a professional development program for judo coaches from the north-western region in Shaki.
İdman.biz reports that 3 sessions were organized on the first day of the program.
The seminar on "Safe Sports" provided information about tricks and techniques that could pose a danger to young teenagers under the age of 13. It was reiterated that the application of these tricks is prohibited for judokas in this age category. Coaches were advised to pay particular attention to this issue. The seminar used scientifically based articles based on international experience.
Then, judge Vusal Aliyev conducted training on the new rules introduced by the International Judo Federation. During the seminar, which was held in a mutual discussion format, the coaches' questions were answered in detail.
The last practical session of the day was dedicated to "ashi-waza" - leg techniques. In this session, the execution of techniques was demonstrated not only by instructors, but also by experienced coaches. This aims to exchange experience in the region.
It should be noted that the professional development program will last 6 days. The first stage of the program was implemented in Goranboy for coaches of the western region.
