"It is difficult to comment on Vaqif Javadov's dismissal from "Sumgayit" because we are not inside the club." Ceyhun Sultanov said this in an interview with Sport24.az.
The famous manager commented on Vaqif Javadov's departure from the post of head coach of "Sumgayit":
"Perhaps the management was dissatisfied with the recent results and wants to build a team for the next season now. Of course, they could have waited and taken this step after the end of the season. Again, the management knows better. I don't believe he was fired because of Javadov's comments at the last press conference, criticizing the club's management and journalists. Again, there may be issues we don't know about."
It should be noted that Vaqif Javadov's contract was terminated by mutual agreement. He signed a 2.5-year contract with him last year.
"Sumgayit" was last defeated by "Kapaz" with a score of 0:1 in the XXXIV round of the Misli Premier League. The team is currently in ninth place in the tournament table with 30 points.
