"Qarabag" Hopes for PSG Victory

The Champions League semi-final stage will conclude today.

Idman.biz reports that the outcome of the PSG – "Arsenal" match is also important for the Azerbaijani champion "Qarabag".

The meeting in Paris may determine the fate of Gurban Gurbanov's team in the Champions League. The Aghdam club needs the victory of the French champion in the total of two games.

If PSG passes the stage, "Qarabag" will start the most prestigious club tournament of the continent not from the 1st, but from the 2nd qualifying round. In other words, our champion will seem to have passed the stage at the same time as the Parisians.

Because if this happens, "Inter" will play PSG in the final. Both of these teams have already secured a place in the League stage of the Champions League from their national championships. This means that the team that wins the tournament has already secured its place for the next season.

Therefore, the highest-rated club from the clubs that have to play in the qualifying rounds of the Champions Path will directly advance to the League stage. This is the Greek champion "Olympiacos".

The Piraeus representative should actually start the fight from the 2nd qualifying round. However, the fact that the team that will lift the Champions League trophy has already won a ticket to the tournament will move "Olympiacos" to the League stage.

The decrease of one team in the 2nd qualifying round will affect the clubs that have to play in the first round. From here, the two highest-rated teams will advance to the next stage. Only "Qarabag", whose rating is lower than "Slovan", will be exempted from the first round with the second result.

If "Arsenal" beat PSG, but fail to qualify for the Champions League from the championship, "Qarabag"'s hopes will depend on the final. Then, our representative's exemption from the stage will depend on "Inter" defeating the Londoners on May 31.
