An interview with Luis Paçu, Brazilian striker of "Kapaz", to futbolinfo.az
– You returned from the Shamakhi trip in the 31st round of the Misli Premier League with a defeat (1:2). What was missing for you to achieve a successful result in this match?
– Actually, we played well and deserved to win. But this is football, everything depends on small details. We wanted to leave the field with a successful result, but it didn't work out.
– Although you managed to get your name on the scoreboard in this match, the goal you scored was not enough for Kapaz's successful result. In such cases, you can't be very happy because you stood out, or is scoring goals even in matches you lost more important to you?
– Scoring a goal is always good for a striker. But when you watch my games, it is also clear that I am a football player who plays for the team. In other words, my team's favorable result comes before everything else for me.
– Before or after the game, did you have a dialogue with your former head coach, Aykhan Abbasov, with whom you once worked together at Turan Tovuz?
– Yes, we had a brief dialogue with him before the match. We greeted each other and asked how each other was doing. We had no other conversation.
– You will host Zira in the next round. The opponent is currently in good shape. What result do you expect from this match?
– As with every game, we will enter this match with the aim of winning. We fight for 3 points in all matches. We know how difficult a game awaits us, because Zira is a strong team. But we also play well and make a confident impression. We are doing our best in training to be fully prepared for this meeting.
– There are 5 rounds left until the end of the current season, and Kapaz is 8 points ahead of Sabail, which is in the last place. Does this give reason to say that the Ganja club will participate in the Premier League next season as well, or will the last 5 rounds be tense for you?
– We want to achieve the goal set for us from the beginning of the season. Our approach has not changed: to continue working on ourselves and score as many points as possible. I believe that Kapaz will be in the Premier League next season as well.
– What are your plans for the next seasons? Will we see you in the Kapaz squad in the new season as well, or are you considering evaluating other offers?
– My contract with Kapaz expires at the end of the current season. But I'm not thinking about it right now. Together with the coaching staff and teammates, I am focused on achieving the goal.
