Alvaro Morata, who is contractually owned by Milan and currently playing for Galatasaray, has responded to accusations of participating in gambling on illegal platforms. Sport24.az reports that he denied this information in a post on his social media accounts:
"I have seen the information that has come out about me and I want to make it clear that the only thing I have done for Nicolo Fagioli over the years is to give him career advice as a friend and as someone more experienced. I never knew anything about his situation. I love Nicolo very much and I hope he can correct all his mistakes soon. But I have nothing to do with his situation. I repeat, I deny all the information that has come out, because it is false."
It should be reminded that Juventus player, Morata's friend Nicolo Fagioli, was suspended for 7 months in October 2023 for gambling.
The updated list of suspects related to gambling also includes Weston McKennie (Juventus), Mattia Perin (Juventus), Angel Di Maria (Benfica), Leandro Paredes (Roma), Alessandro Florenzi (Milan), Nicolo Zaniolo (Galatasaray) and a number of other footballers. Some of them have been investigated for playing online poker and casinos.
