The Heydar Aliyev Imishli City Stadium, where "Imishli" Football Club plays its home games, is owned by a state institution and a private enterprise. In addition to our club, 3 other clubs play their games in the second league and the regional league in this stadium, and they have the right to use the stadium on a rental basis.
Sport24.az reports that these words are taken from the statement released by the "Imishli" club, which will compete in the Premier League from the new season.
It was noted that although the club management has repeatedly applied for the acquisition of the stadium for the past two seasons, unfortunately, these applications have not found a positive solution.
"Despite the fact that this season the club management renovated the stadium's grass cover from scratch at its own expense, as a result of excessive load (other clubs also regularly train and play here), the cover has lost its quality. According to world standards, a maximum of 1 game per week can be played on a natural grass cover, and in the current situation, it is not legally possible for us to ensure this.
Negotiations have been organized with the leadership of AFFA and relevant institutions to discuss the positive solution of the issue, and support has been received in the direction of a positive solution. We are confident that in a short time, the Heydar Aliyev Imishli City Stadium will be transferred to the ownership of "Imishli" PFK and we will be able to start renovation works for the UEFA category 3 field".
