"If I hadn't been involved in mixed martial arts, I probably would have been a wrestler."
Idman.biz reports that this was stated by Vugar Keremov, the MMA fighter of Azerbaijan and "Gabala" Sports Club, in the "PODKAT" "YouTube" project.
Speaking about his love for sports, Keremov stated that he has loved sports since childhood: "I have asked myself this question many times, what would I be if I weren't an athlete. I have neither the knowledge nor the patience to work in any other field. If I hadn't gone into mixed martial arts, I probably would have pursued another sport. But my choice would still be sports. When I was little, I was always fighting in the street. There are children who don't like sports. If a person doesn't have a love for sports in their heart, they can't stay in the gym. There are children who leave the gym as soon as they get punched, and there are those who get beaten but still cry and go back to their opponent. How can you take that child out of sports and direct them to another field?".
It should be noted that Vugar Keremov will take his next test on June 14. He will face Japanese representative Syuya Kimura at the "Rizin" tournament. Vugar, who will compete in the 66 kg weight category, will gain the right to fight for the belt thanks to the victory.
