Liverpool's Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has assessed his chances of winning the "Golden Ball" award, given to the best footballer of the season.
Lent.az reports that the star footballer made a confession while talking about it:
"It doesn't depend on me, but of course, one day I would like to win the "Golden Ball" for my people. It is difficult for a child from a village in Egypt to dream of the "Golden Ball." But after coming to Liverpool, I started to think that it could happen one day. But even if I don't win this award, my career will still be successful.
Can age interfere? I'm only 32 years old. In recent years, several winners have been in their 30s. Also, the next season promises to be exciting, because we will defend the English champion title with Liverpool and participate in the Champions League. We will also play with Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations and, God willing, the World Cup."
Salah has played 49 games in all tournaments this season, scored 33 goals and made 23 assists.
