A driver ran over a group of football fans in front of the RCDE stadium before the "Espanyol" - "Barcelona" game.
Lent.az reports that 16 people were injured as a result. Authorities have stated that none of the injured are in life-threatening condition.
The driver of the car was arrested at the scene.
The incident occurred on Thursday, May 15, shortly before the start of the match between the two clubs representing the city of Barcelona. A video circulating on social media shows "Espanyol" fans surrounding a white car. After standing still for a while, the car suddenly accelerated and tried to pass through the crowd, running over several people.
