Azerbaijan's veteran football players will travel to Uzbekistan with the support of AFFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Ogtay Abdullayev, chairman of the Football Veterans Union, informed "Report" about this.
O.Abdullayev said that they want to hold a friendly match with local veteran football players in Uzbekistan:
"We will go to Uzbekistan today. We will hold a friendly match with local veteran football players in Tashkent. We will also visit the statue of Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan".
The official of the organization said that another friendly match is planned:
"The leadership of the Azerbaijan Mini-Football Federation plans to organize a game between the members of the coaching staff of the clubs and the veteran football players of "Neftchi". The meeting is scheduled to be held on May 18 or 19".
He also stated that they visited Georgia a few days ago:
"With the support of AFFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, we went to Georgia. We met with local veteran football players there. We laid a wreath in front of the statue of Heydar Aliyev. Our relations with Georgian veteran football players are good. Although not every year, we meet with them every 2 years. For certain reasons, we did not hold a friendly match this time".
