Report reports, citing the NHL press service, that the 27-year-old athlete from the United States achieved this by scoring in a 4-0 victory over Buffalo.
Thus, he scored his 400th goal in the NHL, achieving this in his 628th game. Ovechkin reached this figure in 634 matches.
It should be noted that the tournament record belongs to Wayne Gretzky, who scored 400 times in 436 games.
