Azerbaijani national team footballer Mahir Emreli shared his thoughts about the German club "Nuremberg", with which he parted ways.
According to "Report", the 27-year-old striker gave an interview to "Bild" newspaper about this.
The forward spoke after the match against "Eintracht" (Braunschweig) in the XXXIV round of the II Bundesliga.
The player, who scored a hat-trick in the match, said:
"My career in "Nuremberg" was short, but very beautiful. It's sad that it's over now. But I'm glad that I was able to say goodbye like this".
Emreli also spoke about his future plans:
"I told my agent to leave me alone until the end of the season. Nothing has been decided yet. It was important for me to focus all my attention on "Nuremberg" until the last day".
It should be noted that Mahir Emreli, who joined the II Bundesliga representative at the beginning of the season, was not offered an extension of his contract. He scored 10 goals in the championship and 1 goal in the national cup for "Nuremberg". It is said that an unnamed Bundesliga club and "Kaiserslautern" are interested in the Azerbaijani striker.
