Ryan Hartman, a hockey player for the US club "Minnesota", has been suspended for 10 games.
"Report" reports, citing the press service of the National Hockey League (NHL), that the 30-year-old forward played rough in a match against Ottawa on February 1 in a fight against rival forward Tim Stützle.
R. Hartman hit the German opponent with his elbow, knocking him onto the ice. As a result, T. Stützle's helmet fell off and the hockey player received a cut.
Minnesota's forward was removed from the field until the end of the game for this action. In addition to being disqualified, the hockey player will reportedly be fined approximately $488,000.
It should be noted that the Minnesota - Ottawa match ended with a 6:0 victory for the Canadian club.
