Dominick Cruz, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion, has ended his professional career.
"Report" reports that he announced this on social media.
The 39-year-old American was scheduled to face Rob Font at UFC Fight Night 252 in Seattle this month, but he withdrew from the fight due to injury.
"I've given my whole life to this sport for the last 25 years. I was hoping for one last fight. But unfortunately, two shoulder dislocations in the last eight months have ended my career," Cruz said.
It should be noted that Dominick Cruz is a two-time UFC champion. He has 24 wins and 4 losses. He last lost to Ecuadorian Marlon Vera by knockout in the fourth round at the UFC on ESPN 41 tournament in August 2022.
