Argentine famous goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti has died at the age of 81.
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that a few months ago the former goalkeeper had a traffic accident, as a result of which he underwent surgery on his hip area. During rehabilitation, he contracted an infection that complicated his recovery and led to tragedy.
It is noted that Gatti played for River Plate and Boca Juniors during his career. He also won the Argentine championship four times and the Libertadores Cup twice with other teams.
Gatti played 765 matches in the Argentine championship and is the league's record holder for this indicator.
As you know, Hugo was nicknamed "Madman" for his aggressive style of play. In 1982, he was chosen as the player of the year in Argentina.
