Japanese Olympic and world champion judokas to compete in Baku tournament

Japanese Olympic and world champion judokas will compete in the "Grand Slam" to be held in Baku.

The Azerbaijan Judo Federation's press service told "Report" about this.

Among women, Olympic and three-time world champion Natsumi Tsunoda (48 kg), Olympic and four-time world champion Uta Abe (52 kg) will enter the tatami.

Among men, Olympic and world medalist Ryuju Nagayama (60 kg), world medalist Tatsuki Ishihara (73 kg), Olympic and world medalist Sanshiro Murao (90 kg) will compete.

It is also expected that two-time Olympic and three-time world champion Ono Shohei will come to Baku as a coach as part of the Japanese delegation. In total, Japan will be represented by 19 athletes in the tournament in Baku.

It should be noted that the "Grand Slam" will be held on February 14-16 at the National Gymnastics Arena.
