This result is not accidental.
This was stated by Murad Hasanov, coach of the "Altay" taekwondo club, in his statement to "Report".
The expert shared his thoughts on the team's second place at the European Club Championship held in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia:
"This was a competition of particular importance for the club. About 1,200 athletes from more than 30 countries participated in the tournament, and there was a high level of competition. In a difficult and responsible competition, our team took second place in the overall standings, marking its first major success in the international arena. Months of training, the discipline and fighting spirit of our athletes brought us this achievement. Each of our athletes represented our country with dignity. This success of the "Altay" club is just the beginning."
He also spoke about the upcoming goals:
"We want to achieve even more successful results in national competitions and in the international arena, and to train a new generation of professional taekwondo practitioners who can represent our country at a high level. I am grateful to everyone who is with us on this path and supports our club. In particular, we thank the leadership of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation for their support in achieving this success."
It should be noted that the European Club Championship was held among young teenagers.
