Azerbaijani two-time Olympic champion Ilgar Mammadov has been re-elected as president of the Russian Fencing Federation.
"Report" reports that TASS has released information about this.
The 59-year-old functionary was the only candidate in the elections, and 58 delegates of the conference voted in his favor.
It should be noted that Ilgar Mammadov won gold medals at the Seoul-1988 and Atlanta-1996 Summer Olympic Games. The veteran foil fencer was the head coach of the Russian national team from 2012. I.Mammadov is the son of Yashar Mammadov, who currently works as a consultant at the Azerbaijan Fencing Federation.
