Azerbaijani Para-badminton player Ibrahim Aliyev finished the international tournament held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, with two bronze medals.
According to "Report", the 19-year-old young athlete won 2 bronze awards both in the singles competition and in the doubles competition, where he performed together with Turkish Sedat Tumkaya.
I. Aliyev defeated his Egyptian and Indian rivals in the group stage of the singles competition
and qualified for the 1/8 finals. The athlete won over Indian rivals in two consecutive stages and advanced to the semi-finals.
In the doubles competition, I. Aliyev and S. Tumkaya tandem, who finished the group stage with two victories over Egyptian and Indian rivals, also defeated their Indian rivals in the 1/4 finals and finished the tournament in the semi-finals.
It should be noted that the tournament is a qualifying competition of the International Badminton Federation included in the "Grade 2" category.
