Carlo Ancelotti will leave his post as head coach of Real Madrid after the Copa del Rey final match against Barcelona.
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that, according to the source, the 65-year-old Italian specialist will leave the Royal Club early on April 26, immediately after the match against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final.
Carlo's current contract with the Madrid club runs until the summer of 2026.
There were reports in the press that Ancelotti could be replaced by Bayer head coach Xabi Alonso.
Carlo's name has also been mentioned in connection with the Brazilian national team, which is currently looking for a new coach after the dismissal of Dorival Junior.
Ancelotti became the head coach of Real Madrid for the second time in 2021. Since then, he has won 11 trophies with the team, including two La Liga titles and two Champions League titles.
During his first time at the helm of the Madrid club (2013-2015), Ancelotti also won the Copa del Rey, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Ancelotti is one of the most successful coaches in football history. He is the only coach to have won all 5 of Europe's top championships, as well as five Champions League titles - twice with Milan (2003, 2007) and three times with Real (2014, 2022, 2024).
With 7 rounds left until the end of the season, Real are second in the La Liga table, 4 points behind Barcelona.
