The European Judo Championship continues.
Idman.biz reports that three judokas of the Azerbaijani national team will compete on the tatami on the fourth day of the competition held in Podroritsa, the capital of Montenegro.
Our Olympic champion Zelim Kotsoiev will start his first test after Paris-2024. Ushangi Kokauri and Nigar Suleymanova will also compete on the last day of the individual competitions.

Zelim Kotsoiev started the fight from the 2nd stage. He defeated Michael Aristo (Cyprus) at the start, followed by Maksims Duinovs (Latvia). Our Olympic champion faced Anton Savitsky (Ukraine) in the semi-finals and won his next victory. In the final, he will test his strength with Georgian Ilya Sulamanidze, whom he defeated at Paris-2024.

Ushangi Kokauri faced Patrik Broniec (Poland). Our judoka, who won, was superior to Marius Fizel (Slovakia) in the 1/8 finals, and Recep Ergin (Turkey) in the next match. Kokauri competed with Valeri Endovitski (IJF) in the semi-finals. Since the opponent advanced to the stage, Ushangi will compete for a bronze medal with Erik Abramov (Germany).

Nigar Suleymanova lost to Sofia Somkhishvili (Georgia) in the first match.
It should be noted that our team won 4 bronze medals in the first 3 days of the competition. Ahmad Yusifov in 60 kg, Rashid Mammadaliyev in 73 kg, Zelim Tckaev in 81 kg, and Murad Fatiyev in 90 kg took places on the podium.
