Azerbaijani judokas will compete at the "Grand Slam" tournament

According to the calendar of the International Judo Federation, the Grand Slam tournament will be held in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on May 2–4.

QOL.az reports that Azerbaijan will be represented at this competition by 8 judokas in 6 weight categories. Our national team will be led by Slavko Tekic, the head coach of the adult national team.

Nazim Umbayev, a member of the referee panel of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, an "A" category international referee, will also be among the representatives of justice at the tournament.

It should be noted that 226 athletes (123 men, 103 women) from 27 countries will participate in the competition, which will last for three days.
