The European Cup among young people will be held on May 3 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani national team will be represented by 38 judokas (28 boys, 10 girls) in 13 weight categories at the competition, which will last for 2 days.
The coaching staff will give a chance to Nihad Mamishov, Farid Garayev, Mirkhalig Iskandarov, Aykhan Mirzazade, Muhammad Mamishov (all 60 kg), Muhammad Musayev, Nizami Imranov, Nijat Suleymanli, Sadig Iskandarli, Nijat Naghiyev, Umud Gurbanov (all 66 kg), Mehdi Jafarov, Abil Yusubov, Fagan Mammadli, Nihad Yahyayev, Said Rzayev, Tariyel Shikhaliev (all 73 kg), Jasur Ibadli, Nahid Targuliyev, Roman Garayev, Mehdi Abbasov (all 81 kg), Canpolad Aliyev, Aslan Kotsoyev, Khayyam Aliyev (all three 90 kg), Vidad Aliyev, Huseyn Eyvazli (both 100 kg), Ramazan Ahmadov, Rauf Yadigarli (both +100 kg), Farida Mirzayeva (48 kg), Khadija Gadashova, Chinara Sadigova (both 52 kg), Fidan Gasimova, Gulnara Bayramova, Ayten Verdiyeva (both 57 kg), Nilgun Rzayeva, Leyla Atayeva (both 63 kg), Parvana Abdullayeva (70 kg) and Nigar Suleymanova (+78 kg) at the European Cup.
It should be noted that 529 athletes (355 boys, 174 girls) from 30 countries will participate in the tournament.
