Saudi Arabia has declared its readiness to host 64 national teams at the 2034 World Cup.
QOL.az, referring to "L'Équipe", reports that this was announced by the Minister of Sports of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal.
"We are ready for this. If FIFA makes such a decision and thinks it will be better for everyone, we will welcome this decision with joy and respect," he emphasized.
It should be noted that the President of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), Alejandro Dominguez, has proposed to FIFA to expand the final stage of the 2030 World Cup to 64 teams.
