The winner of the Marc-Vivien Foé award, given to the best African player playing in Ligue 1 in France, has been announced. Sport24.az reports that this season's award was won by PSG defender Ashraf Hakimi.
He was one of the main contributors to his team winning their 13th French championship and reaching the Champions League final.
The 26-year-old Moroccan beat Evan Guessand, a striker from Nice, Ivory Coast, and Habib Diarra, a Senegalese midfielder playing for Strasbourg.
It should be noted that Hakimi played 24 matches in the French championship this season, scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists.
