For the first time since 1965, the Brazilian national football team will be led by a foreign head coach.
"Report" informs that Italian Carlo Ancelotti, who was appointed as the head coach of the team today, will be the first foreign specialist to coach the "samba players" after 60 years.
The last time the national team was coached by a foreigner was by Argentine Filpo Nunes.
It should be noted that this will also be Ancelotti's first national team experience. The 65-year-old head coach will prepare the Brazilian national team for the 2026 World Cup. He will lead the national team in the qualifying matches against Ecuador (June 6) and Paraguay (June 11).
