The "Sumgayit" club, which terminated the contract with Vagif Javadov yesterday, will be headed by Belarusian coach Aleksey Baga from the new season.
Idman.biz reports with reference to "Sportinfo" that negotiations between the parties have been successfully completed.
Baga is expected to come to Azerbaijan to watch the team's last two matches in the Premier League live.
Baga, who was first appointed as head coach of the club in December 2021, was dismissed in September 2022 due to poor results.
It should be noted that, in addition to "Sumgayit", the Belarusian has coached "Sokol" (Russia), "Shakhtyor" (Belarus), BATE (Belarus), "Zalgiris" (Lithuania) and "Aktobe" (Kazakhstan). He won championship titles with BATE, "Shakhtyor" and "Zalgiris".
