Sabail player Yusif Nabiyev commented on their relegation from the Misli Premier League.
The 27-year-old wing-back gave an interview to Report about this.
The captain said they were disappointed:
"Our situation was already difficult. The difference in points with other teams had increased. We motivated ourselves to get out of this situation. But it didn't work out, we are disappointed. We didn't want it to be like this. Our name was also tarnished as a football player. We caused the team to be relegated to the First League. The situation is not good. It's not just about the football players. There were employees working there, people who supported their families."
Y. Nabiyev said that he hoped that the "sailors" would return to the Premier League:
"I don't have any information about some issues right now. Will the team fight for the championship in the First League? I don't know. I hope they will play to return to the elite and compete again in the main championship. Sabail is really a good club."
He spoke briefly about his career:
"I don't have any ideas yet. I'm waiting to see what happens. I'm not thinking about another club or contract. We have two matches ahead of us. After these games are over, we will look ahead."
It should be noted that Sabail is in the last - 10th place with 22 points. The Baku team is 8 points behind Sumgayit, which is ninth, with two rounds to go.
