Real Madrid and Croatian national team midfielder Luka Modrić has become one of the new co-owners of Championship side Swansea City. Sport24.az reports that the Welsh club's press service announced this.
Commenting on the matter, the Croatian star stated that he wanted to have a stake in the club's future development:
"This is an amazing opportunity. Swansea has an incredible fan base and a desire to perform at the highest level. I believe I can share my experience with the club. My goal is to support the club's positive growth and help build a bright future."
It should be noted that Swansea, with 54 points after 42 games, is in 12th place in the league table. Leeds is in first place with 88 points.
