FIFA has approved changes to the Disciplinary Code regarding racism.
Idman.biz reports that the organization's press service has issued a statement.
A three-stage algorithm has been defined for referees in cases of racism in the stands. Referees will have the right to suspend and terminate the game early. Maximum fines for racist insults have been increased to 6 million euros.
In addition, footballers will be able to assist the referee in identifying those who break the rules in the stands so that arena staff can remove them from the stadium.
