Former "Manchester United" player Rio Ferdinand has been hospitalized.
"Report" reports that this was due to the former defender contracting a virus.
The 46-year-old veteran footballer confirmed in a statement from the hospital on his social media pages that he was suffering from a virus that even caused him to have an MRI of his brain. Ferdinand, who said that his condition is normal now after the treatments, thanked his fans who supported him.
It should be noted that R. Ferdinand, who spent most of his career at "Manchester United" (2002-2014), scored 7 goals in 312 matches he played during this period. He scored 3 goals in 81 games as part of the England national team (1997-2011).
