At least five teams from the English Premier League will qualify for the Champions League next season.
"Report" reports that "BBC Sport" reported on this.
It was reported that after Arsenal's victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, England's representation in the Champions League with a minimum of five teams next season was guaranteed. Thus, a victory in any of the three European tournaments would secure a fifth place for England.
Two additional places are awarded based on the ranking of countries in the UEFA coefficient table.
It should be noted that the leader of the Premier League is a single leader, "Liverpool" (73 points), and its closest follower is the "Gunners" (62). The top three is closed by "Nottingham Forest" (57). Only eight points separate the fourth and tenth places in the tournament table, which makes the fight for qualifying for the Champions League even more intense.
If "Aston Villa" wins the Champions League this year, but fails to qualify for Europe's top tournament in the local championship, and "Manchester United" or "Tottenham" wins the Europa League, England could be represented by seven teams in the Champions League in the 2025/2026 season.
Italy is in second place in the coefficient ranking, followed by Spain and Germany.
