Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois spoke about the defeat to Arsenal (0:3) in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. Sport24.az reports that the goalkeeper admitted that he was dissatisfied with his team's game:
"I think Arsenal play very strongly at home. They press well. In the first half, we resisted well, created danger on counterattacks. In the second half, we just forgot how to play football.
I wouldn't say we panicked, but we were nervous when we had the ball. They scored 3 goals. And we didn't react.
It's hard to be 0:3 down. But we know that we will be stronger at home with the support of our fans. Our fans must believe in our team. In the return match, we will do everything we can from the first minute for a favorable result. We need to correct our mistakes and try to score goals. I think it's possible."
Note that the Real Madrid - Arsenal return match will be held in Madrid on April 16.
