Coach who beat child footballers removed from "Shamakhi" club

The management of "Shamakhi" has temporarily removed coach Vugar Suleymanov from his position after he beat young footballers of the "Metak" team during an AFFA U-15 League match.

Idman.biz reports that this was announced to Telegraf by the club's general manager, Kamran Ismayilov.

According to him, such a step was taken in accordance with the decision taken by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee on April 23.

Ismayilov stated that Suleymanov's fate will be clarified after the appeal to the Arbitration Tribunal is reviewed: "We have submitted an appeal against the decision of the Disciplinary Committee. But it has not been considered yet. We expect that our appeal will be discussed and a relevant decision will be made at the next meeting of the Arbitration Tribunal. The coach has been temporarily removed from the team in accordance with the current decision of the Disciplinary Committee and is currently not working in our club. If the Arbitration Tribunal makes a positive decision, he will certainly return to work. If our complaint is not accepted, his contract will be terminated and he will be removed from the team."

The general manager reminded that, according to the current decision of the Disciplinary Committee, Suleymanov has been banned from any football-related activity for 1 year: "That is, he cannot work in any football team, including our team. After our appeal is considered and a decision is made, we will put an end to the matter accordingly."

It should be noted that a mass brawl broke out at the end of the "Shamakhi" - "Metak" match held on April 22. At that time, Vugar Suleymanov, a coach of the "Shamakhi" team who was not listed in the protocol but was registered, entered the field and punched several young football players of "Metak". Taking into account the exceptional case allowed by Article 1 of the AFFA Disciplinary Code, Vugar Suleymanov was banned from any football-related activity for 1 year and fined 500 manats as an exceptional case. "Shamakhi" had to hold its next home game without fans.
