Today, a meeting of the AFFA Licensing Committee was held. Sport24.az reports that the documents of clubs that applied to participate in the UEFA men's and women's club competitions, the Misli Premier League, the I League and the AFFA High Women's League in the 2025/2026 season were reviewed at the meeting.
The AFFA Licensing Committee, based on Article 9 of the Rules for Licensing Azerbaijani Football Clubs (Edition 2024), after discussions, made the following decisions:
1. The following clubs be licensed to participate in UEFA men's club competitions:
"Araz-Nakhchivan" PFK, "Qarabağ" FK, "Neftçi" PFK, "Sabah" FK, "Sumgayit" FK, "Turan Tovuz" PFK İB, "Zira" PFK.
2. The following clubs be licensed to participate in UEFA women's club competitions:
"Neftçi" PFK, "Sumgayit" FK.
3. The following clubs be licensed to participate in the Premier League competitions:
"Baku Sporting" FK, "Difai" FK, "Imishli" FK, "Karvan" FK, "Kapaz" PFK İB, "Gabala" IK, "Sabail" PFK, "Shamakhi" FK.
4. The following clubs be licensed to participate in the I League competitions:
"Jabrayil" FK, "Dinamo" FK, "Hypers Guba" FK, "Garadagh Lokbatan" FK, "Mingachevir" FK, MOIK FK, "Shahdag Gusar" FK, "Shafa" FK, "Shamkir" PFK, "Shimal" FK, "Zagatala" FK.
5. The following clubs not be licensed to participate in the I League competitions:
"Araz Saatli" FK, "Fuzuli" FK.
6. The following clubs be licensed to participate in the AFFA High Women's League:
"Araz-Nakhchivan" PFK, "Baku Juniors" FK, "Dirchelish" FK, "Gabala" IK.
A license applicant applying for a UEFA license has the right to appeal within 10 (ten) days after receiving the decision made by the License Commission. For license applicants applying for other types of licenses, this period is 5 (five) days.
Note 1: In accordance with Article 14 of the Rules for Licensing Azerbaijani Football Clubs (Edition 2024), clubs that have obtained the licenses listed below in the 2025/2026 season are automatically considered to have obtained their other license(s):
* Clubs that have obtained a license to participate in UEFA men's competitions are automatically considered to have obtained a license to participate in the Misli Premier League and I League competitions for the same season.
* Clubs that have obtained a license to participate in Premier League competitions are automatically considered to have obtained a license to participate in I League competitions for the same season.
* Clubs that have obtained a license to participate in UEFA women's competitions are automatically considered to have obtained a license to participate in AFFA High Women's League competitions for the same season.
Note 2: Clubs not listed above have refused to participate in the licensing process.
