"Galatasaray" plans to build an ambitious squad for the next season. Sport24.az reports that the Super League leader wants to bring in a world-class player to replace Dris Mertens, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Local media reported this.
"Galatasaray's" main target is Bernardo Silva, who plays for "Manchester City." The "yellow-reds" have started negotiations with the manager of the Portuguese attacking midfielder, who has a 1-year contract left with the English club.
The player is also interested in his country's club, Benfica. However, the Lisbon representative does not consider paying the salary he demands.
It should be noted that "Manchester City" transferred Bernardo Silva from "Monaco" in the summer of 2017. The member of the Portuguese national team scored 4 goals and 4 assists in 45 official matches for the "cityzens" this season.
