The "Champions" tournament among youth (U20), held in Antalya, Turkey, has come to an end.
İdman.biz reports that our Greco-Roman wrestlers in the 63, 82, and 130 kg categories competed on the final day of the competition.
As in the first and second days, on the last day our team added 1 silver and 1 bronze medal to its assets. Tural Ahmadov (63 kg) took second place, and Elmin Aliyev (82 kg) took third place.
In the end, our national team finished the traditional tournament with 6 medals (3 silver, 3 bronze). In previous days, Turan Dashdamirov (55 kg) and Aykhan Javadov (60 kg) won silver medals, while Vedat Gasimli (60 kg) and Ismayil Rzayev (97 kg) won bronze medals.
Our team, which went to Antalya under the leadership of head coach Nureddin Rajabov and coaches Emin Ahmadov and Turaj Huseynli, took 2nd place in the team standings with 122 points. Iran (128) took first place, and Kyrgyzstan (115) took third place.
It should be noted that Khayal Aliyev and Kamran Bakhishov, international referees of the II category, ensured justice at the "Champions" tournament.
