"Changing teams often is not a good thing".
This was stated to Idman.biz by veteran football player Ceyhun Sultanov.
He commented on the departure of Azerbaijani national team striker Mahir Emreli from German II Bundesliga representative "Nuremberg" at the end of the season. According to Sultanov, there may be various reasons for the player to take this step: "We are not aware of what is going on inside, so we cannot make specific judgments. But linking this to the desire for development does not seem realistic. Mahir is not 20 years old to think about prospects and take these steps for development. I think that Mahir is currently heading towards where he will be good and where the financial conditions will satisfy him. Again, he makes the decision himself. If he had made the right decision and stayed at a club in time, he might be playing in the I Bundesliga today. This is a football career and everyone has their own opinion".
Sultanov also touched upon the issue of where Emreli will continue his career: "If he returns to Azerbaijan, it will not benefit him. Mahir can play in even better leagues. For example, the Korean and Chinese championships are superior to us. In general, I would advise Mahir to come to Azerbaijan as a last resort".
It is noted that Bundesliga representative "St. Pauli" is allegedly interested in the 27-year-old striker, who will leave "Nuremberg".
