Azerbaijani Grandmaster Takes Second Place at Capablanca Memorial

The 58th Memorial Tournament dedicated to the memory of the third world champion Jose Raul Capablanca continues in Matanzas, Cuba.

Idman.biz reports that Azerbaijani grandmaster Azer Mirzoyev is in the leading group.

In the sixth round, he drew with local chess player Luis Lazaro, raised his score to 5 points, and continues his fight for the top spots. There are six more chess players with the same score, and according to additional indicators, Mirzoyev is in second place.

A total of 119 chess players are participating in the tournament.
